Where did you ground your amp?
Is it on the transmission hump and is there another ground there from something else?
I ask because I have my amp under my drivers seat grounded to a bolt on the transmission hump on that side with another ground from the factory. I am getting some hiss in my system, even with everything OFF. Goes away when I unplug the rca's. I'm wondering if my ground isn't as good as it should be.
Power wires are nowhere near rca or speaker wires.
Do you have any noise in yours?

I drilled a hole in the front frame bracket for the seat. it is hollow underneath so you dont need to worry about drilling into anything. As for hissing noise no, although my amp is only for my new sub.

Looks great. Wish I could do that with mine, but it's too long. I haven't decided 100% yet, but I'm probably going to use the 5-channel Boston GT-50 I have lying around. So either the tailgate or under a custom "trunk" in the back.

By chance, was there any room under the driver's seat for an amp as well? I have 2 trusty Kicker ZR240s lying around that are tempting to use, so I'm tempted a little.

Rats...now there's another decision I have to make.

I just finished installing the components in the front, what a difference over stock, but they need amped for it to be really stellar. Hmn...amp with the Kicker or bi-amp with the Boston, this is gonna take a while to decide on.

How did you run the power wire? Through the FW or up from underneath?

ran it through the firewall, theres a rubber grommet above the brake pedal just to the left. Mines an automatic, so if you have a manual it might be different.

I like your bracket idea. I mounted my amp in the same location but I used zip ties so I could take the amp out easly if I need to.
