Default Mygig

Has anyone with Sirius installed a Mygig? I understand its plug and play but does the radio need to be reprogrammed somehow to let it know your Sirius account?

You will have a new sirius radio ID number, as it is part of the radio.

If you upgrade to the MyGig, you'll have to call Sirius and tell them to cancel the old radio ID, and activate the new radio ID. In my experience (with XM, at least) they have done this without charging activation fees.

I did the same - however i was charged a fee. I have the lifetime subscription and was charged $75 to transfer.

The girl told me it would have been $15 if I just had an annual subscription.

Well my free year is about to run out, so I guess I could activate the mygig for free?

If you tell them your year is about up and you plan to renew, I'm sure they could be persuaded to do it for free.
