Default Mygig help!!!

First off I appreciate everyone's help thus far with my mygig but ran into a bump and not sure what to do.

So I followed rednrolls instructions about takin part my console and straight plug in and play well as I plugged the rhr on in and got it ready to install I realize it dosent fit.

On my old radio the mounting brackets are on the sides

I don't know what to do. Does this mean I got the wrong mygig? :-(

And when I turned the radio on it asked me for a password for the mgig which I don't know as well. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I believe you may have gotten a European MyGig. The Euro's ask for the password, and I haven't seen those brackets on my U.S. RHR.

What Year is your Jeep?
Part number of the RHR? Is it one of these Part numbers
05064830AC (up to 1/7/11)
05064830AD (after 1/7/11)
05064830AE
05064830AF

Do you have the Factory Amp ?
.
Did you get the Combo Antenna that has Sat Radio and GPS all in one Ant?
.
The 3 lettersin bottom Right of Unit are???

The MyGigs RER and RHR have a couple different Mount Frames on them. Grand Cherokee Changed Mount Location when it went for Low speed to High Speed Can Bus....Dodge Ram and a Couple other have the Mount holes different... RHR is US only...Exports Change Letters...

Where did you get the Unit....Return a Option?
Where did this Part number on a Mygig come from for you to choose this one? Someone's Advise or Ebay seller posted it as Wrangler Friendly?
A couple searches i did on this number, shows this goes in the 2013 Grand Cherokee...LOL....Hope you got a Better Deal then this one...lol....The RER and RHR are and have Been the Top Premium System, with Top Amp and Wrangler got 6 speakers and a Sub.....Chrysler has never Put one of these RER or RHR in a Vehicle without the Amp etc.. I'm not sure it would even work/work right with out some kind of Amp.....LOL....I haven't seen a Thread on a RER/RHR installed Alone....lol....Are you considering a Infinity Prem Amp? Just don't get Alpine...lol...If you go to looking for Amps...I may have a couple different new ones I may sell.......
The Radio mount is the same for Ram trucks, Liberty etc...Grand changed on the 2010 model....

Wranglers have a side mount. The GCs have top and bottom mount.
