Default MyGig question

I have a 2012 JK with the RES radio with uconnect and Sirius. Looks like the RER is the radio I want. What vehicles can I get one from if I can find one in the salvage yard? Also do i need anything other than just the head unit? I keep reading conflicting info on year models that will be compatible.

Thanks
Nathan

Do you already have the Bluetooth and hands free phone now? If so you might want to look at the RHB instead, it would be 100% plug and play with your current equipment.

If you don't have the Bluetooth already, then I would look for an RHR. in 2011 they changed to combining the Nav and Sirius antenna into one unit with 1 cable. You already have the antenna and cable now, so it would work with it. The older RER has separate Nav and Sirius antennas, so you would have to add an an extra Nav antenna.

I do already have Bluetooth. I haven't seen any info on the RHB or RHR radios. Where can I find info on them?

Search for RHB on here, there are several threads about them. The are the 430N option that's available from the factory. Using it would reuse everything you have and make it all 100% plug and play.

It has to be from a 2011 or newer though right!

Ok thanks! All these different letters are getting me confused! Seems like they could have left it a little more simple. What's the difference in the RHB and the RHR?
