Default MyGig "show turn arrows" problem

Under the Guidance Prompts Settings there is a choice for "Show turn arrows in radio/media." The manual doesn't explain this, but I assume when checked it means when I am in FM, SAT, or other modes, it flashes up a box to show me the turns I need to make.

It also doesn't put up the box on the right side to show a zoomed in look of the current turn even in the NAV mode. I had to keep the regular zoom all the way in. It did tell me at the top of the screen what the turn was, but no easy picture like every outher GPS unit.

Mine doesn't seem to do this. It does the voice prompts, but nothing on the screen. Does anyone have this problem?

My MyGig unit was installed by the dealer and is the current version 9.561, but unlike other posts here, I can only zoom to 150ft. Some say with the 9.561 thay can zoom to 125 ft. And I still need to hit the accept screen at startup. I'm thinkin that downloaded update was modified from the original Mopar update.

Thanks for any help!

I just found in the manual the page where you can make the turn directions a split screen. Very non-intuitive.

But as for displaying them in a Radio mode, I have no idea why it's not working? Does it work for anyone else?

You can make it show turn arrows while on the radio screen, but there are a few other options you have to check. First, you have to change the display mode to "Nav view". Then, when on the radio screen you have to hit "Hide List". This should then show turn arrors (or just the map if you don't have a destination entered) on the right-hand side.

I might have the wording wrong, so if you can't figure it out just let me know and I'll run out to the Jeep and get the exact option names.

Thanks, I got it to work. I'm usually very good at these things, but for I just couldn't figure that out. Everything seems to work OK, but I can only zoom to 150 ft. Now to try the CD player and HDD...
