Anybody have specs on what size drives MyGig can recognize? I tried dropping the latest firmware on a 4G'er and it went ... Luckily I had a couple of box-o-1000-blank-cds sitting around so was able to apply the patch through the other hole...

 

I believe firmware can only be updated to the Mygig using CD's. I have a 4g stick that I use to download MP3's and it works fine.

Does anyone know if the unit supports portable USB drives, such as a Western Digital I have an 80GB drive with lots of my music, and I really don't want to have to copy music off the hard drive to a flash drive.

Any pointers on where to find specs for supported USB devices?
