Default Need help diagnosing Front passenger turn signal not blinking

I unscrewed the entire front turn signal assemblies yesterday to remove my grill when I installed my new winch yesterday. After getting everything back together, I decided to test all my lights since I did mess with them. And that’s when I figured out that my right front turn signal bulb works, but doesn’t blink.

So obviously it’s something to do with me removing the assembly. I double checked connections were tight, that the wire is intact, the contacts are clean. I reset the computer.

I searched forums, and mainly two things came up: Resetting the computer, which I already did, and replacing the the stalk. I haven’t done that yet because it’s 80$ and it doesn’t seem like that would be the issue when the whole problem started when I unscrewed the actual bulb assembly from the housing .

So I’m just looking to see if anyone else knows anything else that could be causing the issue before I buy the stalk or take it in to a dealership.

Something else I did notice is that the red clips were broken off by the previous owner, but they were broken the whole time I’ve had it and they worked before. Should I go ahead and replace the harness?

The front turn signal bulb is a 3157NA, dual-filament amber bulb. Your turn filament is likely damaged.

Replacing the bulb is where I would start.

If it still isn't working, pull the bulb and put a test light into the socket with the turn signal on. If your see the test light flashing, it's going to be a ground. The ground for almost all the front lights in a 2009 is handled by a single ring terminal on the right upper side of the radiator support by the airbox.

Pull the airbox and replace the single ring terminal with a couple so you no longer have several wires on a single terminal. The terminals Jeep used for grounds were terrible. The copper is exposed to everything and the wires oxidize and just lose the ability to properly ground.

Hope this helps you out

I ended up changing the socket on mine. For some reason the plug from the wiring harness got sloppy, and the new socket solved it.
