Need Help With KC Fog Lights
Hey fellow Jeepers, I am in need of a write up for KC HiLites Fog Lights. I have seen the two write ups for the windshield and I was wondering if there would be any issues installing both windshield lights and bumper mounted fog lights. I know people have installed both but I was also wondering how one would run the wiring from the bumper to the drivers side firewall hole.
Thanks

Since the battery and fuse box are on the passenger side, I'd suggest running the conduit alondside the wiring harness that's already in place just under the lip of the fender, to the battery, and then across to the driver's side hole. I only have windshield mounted KC's, but I took the metal cover piece off just in front of the windshield, and ran some wiring under that. (It also "clamps" the metal conduit between the sheets of metal when you refasten it. I zip tied the KC wiring to the beefier conduits that are already there. Just mind the hot spots in the engine compartment, and make sure it's all tucked in and covered. My $.02
And on the top of the radiator shroud, passenger side, there's a factory wiring conduit/HOLE you can follow all the way back:-) I used that for the winch wiring.....

I have a bunch of lights on mine. Spots on the a-pillars & Fogs & Driving lights on the bumper (pics in my gallery if you care to look, as well as wiring schematics)
The power for both sets on the bumper are run from the rear of the bumper, behind the grill, by the headlight, to the passenger side fender through the factory routing points & loom where i could. To my relays which are near the battery. Then from the relay the switch wires i ran in new wireloom across the top of the firewall across to the drivers side, then through into the cabin.

D Acord. X2 on what HappyC said. Recently finished lighting project. Factory wireing for my fogs are routed down the passanger side fender. I used the same route for my new KC Driving lights that I installed on the bumper. Run the cable down just behind the headlight. That will bring the cable out just behind the bumper.
I also recomend that you use wire loom to give extra protection to your cables. Don't buy the loom at the auto store. I paid $9.00 for 4' there. Go to your local home supply store and look on the electrical isle. You can buy 10' for $2.00 there.
Let me know if you need any more info. I'll be happy to help.
