Default Need to replace factory fogs on SRC Front Bumper

I'm ordering the Smittybilt SRC Front Bumper to replace my stock sahara bumper, and need to replace the factory fog lights. The SRC bumper doesn't have fog lights, but has mounts or tabs (not sure which) for after market lights.

I assume I can simply use the existing factory fog light wiring to wire up some new lights, but I don't know what type/size of lights I should be after.

Any recommendations is much appreciated. Thanks.

You cant just wire up aftermarket lights into the stock harness. They are 35W and most aftermarket is 55W. You can however wire up a relay and run them with the stock wiring then.
Do a search there are a few writeups on how to do it (with pictures and diagrams). I have mine done and running off of the stock switch.

Can you keep the stockers and add a jumper to the relay in addition to adding the new lights? Then you could have the aftermarket as well as the stockers.

Possible?

I spliced my KC Slimlight Fogs right into old harness, no issues to date.

Your using the factory connections to power aftermarket lights? or trip the relay?

Mine absolutely will NOT work that way, they trip the computer off after only a few moments. I used the fatory wiring to trigger the aftermarket relay, and that works fine.

There are a ton of threads in the electrical section.

Most aftermarket lights are a higher wattage than the stock wiring will power without faulting out. That's why everyone uses relays, grabs the power from the battery, and just uses the factory wiring to turn on the relay (very low power draw)

Basic sceme to wire aftermarket lights with any 12V source:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To wire aftermarket fogs that come on with the factory foglight switch and function exactly like the originals (turn off with highbeams):

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is how my A-Pillar lights are connected, so they only work when my highbeams are on:
