If you have a volt meter you can use it to identify which wire to hook up to the colors on your connector. I don't have the factory tow so I can't help you out tht way.

4 way flat molded connectors allow basic hookup for three lighting functions; right turn signal / stop light (green), left turn signal / stop light (yellow), taillight / license / side marker (brown) and a ground (white).

yeah that is the problem i am getting conflicting signals i have no signal coming out for lft turn therefore i need to know what wire is bad both rt turn and stop seem to coincide with the white wire with green stripe. if i new the position of the wire in relation to the plug on the stock set up i could figure the rest out. for example:

the plug has one rubber sleeved female connection then three open male connections. i just need to know what colors line up

female 1: ? stock color
male 1: ? stock color
male 2: ? stock color
male 3: ? stock color

If you can't use a meter and the information that I posted earlier to get those wires together then I would suggest that you take it to a profesional.

thanks for the suggestion, however if i had a picture of the stock 4way i could diagnose the problem, i do have a meter and i know how to use it. i built my trailer and i know how to hook up the wiring from scratch the problem is when i was rock crawling i ripped the stock connector off and lost it. so now i have four wires and need to know the sequence.

wow 154 views and no one had a stock wiring harness to take a picture of oh well i did it the long way around.

I pulled out the wiring harness and used my meter to find a short in the line repaired it and away we go.

should anyone need the info

stock trailer
black common white
white/red park brown
white/green LFT/brake yellow
white/yellow RT/brake green

if you ever have to do what i did do not match up the colors to a standard harness they are not the same.

Here is the pin out for the 7-way, these should be common wires for some of them.

I have the 4 way I can look at when I get home.

2x White Wires = Ground
Red = 12 volt
Blue = Electric Brakes
White / Yellow = STOP/TURN RIGHT
White / Brownish Gry = BACKUP LIGHT
White / Light Green = PARKING LAMP
White / Turquoise = STOP/TURN LEFT
