Need some opinions on mounting my lights
If you haven't already mounted your light bar on your fairlead already, Rugged Ridge does make light mount bar clamps specifically for their hoops. Then you could mount the light bar as you were wanting (either above or below).
Take some pics with whatever you decide

Not yet, Ive run into two problems. One being that the bull bar on the RR XHD bumper isnt your traditional two inch bar but instead 2 3/8 inch in diameter, so about 90% of the clamps out there wont fit the bar. Second problem is that the Rigid Light bar has the mounting screws on the side of the light not on the bottom or back like most lights, so that limits my choices. Rigid Industries does sell a mounting bracket to correct this problem to attach the light bar to more traditional mounting brackets but it still leaves me with my first problem, diameter.
Posion Spyder does sell a light mount that attaches to the hawse fairlead that allows the light bar to attach directly to the mount with no extra hardware necessary, which i might just buy to save me the headache. Currently a company called Axia Alloys is making a mounting bracket that will fit the 2 3/8 bar alowwing the light to mount directly with no problems, but they are about 2 weeks out from releasing the product and each individual mount will cost $35 versus the Posion Spyder mount that costs $35 but i still have to buy the Hawse Winch Fairlead which is $45 and in the end it will all cost me the same price .... whew !
If you look at the previous post #22 , CLEWIS7951 has the exact setup im talking about with the hawse fairlead.
So thats where im at right now with my light situation. Im going to wait to see how the Axia Alloys product looks like, if not im going with the Poison Spyder Mount. Here is what it would look like with the Posion Spyder mount.

and this is the mounting clamps Im waiting for from Axia Alloys

Just FYI, I am going to be mounting my Rigid Industries Light Bar permanently under the bar. You can watch my video on youtube to see how it is temporarily mounted. You can also see a output comparison if you are interested.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTruKzPfW80 I plan on welding a couple of tabs on to permanently mount the light in its current position.
