Default New Bumper... What do I do with the OE fog light wires?

Just installed the Smittybilt SRC front bumper on my 2012 JKUS. I did the work myself and am really new to modifying vehicles. The wiring for the OE fog lights are still attached and I'm wondering if I can hook up aftermarket lights or if I need to get new wiring. Also, what do I need inside the vehicle to make aftermarket lights work? Once again, I'm a total NEWB and have no idea what I'm doing besides reading directions.

You can if its a low wattage light. Led might be the way to go. I wouldn't go over a 55 watt light using the factory wires, though some have been successful

Directions for aftermarket lights.

Pick out the lights you like.
Purchase the lights.
Take them home and install them using their instructions.( except the switch )
Cut out the wires going to the switch.
Connect the OE wires to where the aftermarket switch wires were.
Have fun with mod.

Thank you. Sounds simple enough. Still loving all the great information I receive from this forum.

Buy good 28w led lights then just wire them to the stock fog light plugs or if you wanna get real fancy wire the lights up to some psx24w bases so you can just plug them into the stock harness with no cutting or splicing.
