If you get a GPS Dongle Like the one Dual Makes You can use the gps from your phone, on your iPad 2 Wifi.

 

Wow. That's serious. What mount and how did you mount the drop down screen from the sound bar?

 

Yeah that's what I plan on doing. Anyone know if it is possible to control my radio from the iPad? Was wondering if I could so I could use my Sirius when I have the iPad in.

My Ipad2 mount is also the Cop 4x4 - this is one of the best upgrades I have done to my Jeep and is honestly the easiest way to integrate a self contained "brain" to control your whole entertainment/sound/GPS system. It sure gets some looks too when people see it for the first time.

The soundbar mounted DVD is the Trailmax Overhead DVD Consoles by Bestop - this also is one of those must haves if you can find one - My son and passengers love having that nice big screen to accompany the headrest monitors.



You just reminded me that I need to re-shoot that video - it was shot in the very raw stages of my video build and I was excited to post a view of the monitors... I've since added a bunch of goodies including a 2000 watt sound system using mainly JL Audio electronics and KICKER Solo-Baric L7 10" Subwoofers..... System is a Monster!!

 

I've been looking for an app that can record bread crumbs while off roading. I have the non nav radio. I downloaded a topo map app that is really nice, and I can save waypoints, but not do bread crumbs. Anyone know of an app that will do that?

 

I believe motion x gps does that

Here is mine that im still working on, its a long ways from being done, but it will slide in from the top and will have a built-in dock connector for charging and audio output.
