Default No Keyless Entry After Wireless Light Install

I just installed a set of the new Warn wireless lights on my 08 JK. I tapped into a side marker light so the headlights have to be on for the Warn lights to be able to turn on. Everything worked fine for the day. The next day, without the key in the ignition, I turned on the headlights in the Jeep and then turned on the Warn lights. After shutting off the lights, now the key fob to unlock/lock the doors on my Jeep will not work. I tried disconnecting the negative battery cable and nothing seems to correct the problem. I tried it with both key fobs and both do not work. I do not think the batteries are dead in both key fobs because they worked just fine this morning.

Is it possible that frequency interference was created between the Warn wireless controller and the Jeep key fob? Does anyone have any experience with this happening? Both keys work fine to start the Jeep but the keyless entry feature does not work.

I am definitely not an electrical genius but after doing some more searching, I see that other people disconnect the negative batter cable for around 10 minutes. I only disconnected for a few seconds and then reconnected. Does waiting this time really make a difference?

I'm hoping this is just a simple fix without having to have the keys reprogrammed....

So I wake up this morning and figured I'd tried the key fob for the hell of it and of course it didn't work. I had locked the Jeep using the interior control switch on the door last night. This morning, I opened the driver's door with my key and the alarm went off. I put the key in the ignition and the alarm turned off. I figured I'd try the key fob again thinking maybe something got reset. Turns out it worked and lock the doors! I pushed the unlock button and worked again! Then I locked the doors a second time and it still worked!

Just to make sure the Jeep gods weren't messin with me, I went back five minutes later and now the key fob doesn't work again.

Any ideas? Why would this work a few times and then not again?

i have some electrical knowledge but im not familiar with the wireless warn light controller setup.

if you dont get a response from anyone already using these lights, i'd try scanning the schematic showing connections you made to vehicle and controller connections.

if i were you, id try disconnecting the wire you tapped into the sidemarker light to, and see if your key fob is working again, because i know the key fob flashes the side marker. there has to have a relay inside the controller if you are using that wire as a trigger. maybe you used wrong wire to controller or controller relay is incorrect?

to me it seems like it has more to do with connections you made to the vehicle thats messing up the keyless entry?

..sorry unsure without schematics..interesting though

Thanks for your ideas....I went to work this morning (about a 10 minute drive) and after I parked the car, I gave the key fob one more shot and it works now again....unlock, lock, and remote start. I want to say that the drive to work was long enough to sort of reset the computer after disconnecting the battery cables? Anybody ever have something electrical like this happen? I guess maybe the battery and the ECM really do need some extra time to reset themselves?

it all depending on how much jus the system is consuming and much jus is in the capacitor.

there is other post about the key fob not working all the time, I do something need to retry 3-4 time before it do something but mostly happen on the remote start and much less on the lock / unlock. I have to admit is must me a range issue or a me not pushing the button properly (yes pretty lame to be unable to push a button properly).

I'm also having an issue after a warn wireless lights install, my key fobs don't work and it won't start at all, very frustrating.
