Default No Power to CB

I installed my cb and ran a 14 gauge wire down to the battery cable and used ring connector to attach it.

I still get no power?

Let me know if there is any details that I can add to help diagnose this issue...

Check the fuses... Make sure you have a good ground (If attached to the body, is all the paint removed?

Make sure you have the wires connected to the right leads (Hot=Red, Negative=Black)

it kept busting fuses. There was power going to the thing but it'd stopped at the fuse.

I returned the unit and viola!

Everything was grounded correctly, is my best guess and the unit was at fault.

Then again I am new to electrical.

Now, I need to test the signal strength.
