You have a short in the wireing to the dome light. Could be located on the passanger side floor board where the harness turns into the A pillar.

You need two people and a meter. Set meter to continuity ( ohms ). With the dome light switch ON, place test leads accross the shorted side of the fuse terminal and ground. Meter should read very low resistance. Start moving the harness around while someone else whatches the meter. Shack the harness forcefully ( shack it but don't break it ). The meter reader is looking for the resistance reading to change ( to a bigger # ). Keep moving the harness in different locations untill you find the problem.

You could check to see if ther is a problem with the LED lamp ( probably not but ). Remove the lamp and turn on the dome light. See if it still blows the fuse.

I ordered a set of nylon prybars, I'll check the domelight wiring for rubs and shorts, good idea.

so it turned out to be fuse m20, a 15a fuse. Troubleshooting seems to indicate the wiring between the front and rear dome lights, but it's till tbd.
