Default Off road lights

Can an additional hazard light switch be used for an off road light switch for three 55 watt lights? What size relay would be needed if any?

I'm assuming you're talking about the switch panel by the shifter with the hazard lights in it. Most people will say it can't be done because it's all ran into the CAN-BUS system. If you're electrically inclined check out this video for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QrDxvd6uj4 He hasn't updated it yet so I'm not sure if it works, but it seems like a neat option.

Another way to go is the Rugged Ridge A Pillar Switch Pod we offer. It mounts to your A-Pillar and allows you to mount up to 4 switches. It has a factory finish to make it look like it's meant to be there.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

I bought an RR A Pillar Switch Pod recently but it doesn't seem to fit properly. Are they year specific or do I just need to mess with it to get it to fit?

Thanks

The interiors of the JK's changed from 2010-2011. If you bought the switch pod for the 2007-2010 model and have an 11+, or vise-versa. it may cause you some fitment issues.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

I bought this for my JK Jeep JK 2007-2013
I have 3 sets of lights hooked up to it an air compressor and back up camera
This was the best investment ever. Everything is pre-=wired for plug and play

Ya the OE switch pods on the earlier models look different than the one in this video. I remember seeing a circuit board that fills the entire area behind the switches. This CB made it "almost" impossible to adapt a switch into any of the OE locations. There is a much earlier thread where someone cut in a low profile toggle switch into the face of one of the OE switches. He had to make room for the wiring by leaving the CB loose directly behind the switch. But remember, you are working in very close proximity to the CanBuss wiring. So if you attempt any of this, have a steady hand.
