Opinions on lights for my Gobi
Hey Guys, I'm stuck between two options and want to see what you think
Option one is 4 6 inch Rigids two spot in the middle and two floods on the ends.
Second is the 40 inch light bar.
I know the 40 inch will give off more light but I actually like the looks of the 4 6s a little more. I really am not sure when and where I would use the 4 lights independently (2 spots on one switch 2 floods on another) or if it would just be flipping two switches every time I turn them on. I have KC slims long range mounted on my windshield and will mount rally 800 driving on my bumper. I was thinking maybe bumper and windshield lights on and then use the outside floods for a bit more light and all of em to really light stuff up or just flip on the single big light and it looks like the sun out in front of my jeep
What do you guys think? Can you think of any scenarios where it would be a benefit to have the ability to use the spots and floods independently from each other?

I go camping a lot and I have plans for an awesome jeep concept. I am also a part of a group that does a lot of night time games. In my jeep concept, I will have 4 led duallys with the 60 degree lenses on them. These lights are great for flood lights and work lights. I will have 2 in the rear and just behind the front doors. Each one will be on an individual switch.
You might want flood lights/work light not just for driving but if you or a buddy breaks down, u need to change a tire or light up another vehicle while they are changing a tire. Maybe you are setting up camp after dark and you want to aim you vehicle and just turn on your right flood, it's nice to be able to do that.
I also like the look of several smaller lights instead of one larger one.

My plan (when I find some extra cash) is to put two 6" and one 20" E-series rigid bars on the front and then two two 4" diffused bars on the rear of the rack. If you get the adjustable bar clamps you can twist the front two 6" bars slightly for a broader light spread...
the real issue will be getting all those wires through the front supports to the switch controls under the hood
Voodoo11 has four rigids across the front... https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/spon...-82379/page67/

I run four 6" LED bars in front and two in back. Main advantage is that I can aim the outside lights out to better illuminate side areas and reduce glare across the hood. Also some backup if one fails and partial replacement, but this is minor considering the reliability of modern LEDs. A couple years ago when I installed this set-up, the longer bars were super expensive which was also factor in the decision. Wire management was not an issue...just ran single pair through drivers side upright tube to feed all 4 front lights, and second pair through passenger side tube for rear lights, the latter with a weatherproof quick disconnect (seen on far side of second photo) so I can lift the rack for removing tops.
