Default PIAA driving lights power

Probably a simple question... I'll be installing PIAA lights tomorrow. Reviewing the instructions, I'll need to splice the PIAA power wire to the 2012 JK high beam hot wire. The goal is to have them work only when the high beams are on. Jeep failed to give me a complete schematic and service manual when I picked up my Jeep today. Anyone know the quick and dirty way to ID the wire or a better solution to splicing? I hate those plastic splice things.... Seems like a great way to introduce the humid, salty air of Key West into an insulated wire over time.

Do you actually only want to be able to use them with the high beams on? I tapped the parking lights on mine so I could use them when only they were on. The wire taps actually work fine if you wrap them in electrical tape or heat shrink them
