Hey guys I just bought piaa 540 series lights with the hood mount kit with the brackets and everything from quadratec. Is there a video or directions on how to install them because I don't want to pay someone to do it, I wanna learn how to install the lights my self. The mounts and lights go right by my windshield if u guys didn't understand what I was saying... Thanks

 

There are videos on you tube that show off road light installation. I found my PIAA's easy to install just following the directions. Is there a certain problem or question you have?

 

Well yeah I just wanna have like a whole walk through on how to wire them and stuff it only came with directions on how to hook up the electric stuff not how to run the wiring into the jeep and stuff

 

In the Write-Ups section is a thread called "MY KC WINDSHIELD LIGHT INSTALL" or something similar. It's very detailed with lots of pics of how to run the wires from the lights to the relay, battery, inside the cab, to a switch, etc.

 

at this point there is just the YouTube videos, but our wiring harness's are per-assembled so they are very easy to install. There are 2 battery connections and one switch power wire that comes with a splice clip. If you have any questions you can call us at 800-525-7422 and we can guide you through the install. I didn't even know PIAA was on here. Love mine though for sure. Should be an easy hookup.

 

Did my lights two weeks ago in my bumper and I just googled and looked and read threads all week in how to do it. There are all sorts of write ups on the net, and it's not as hard as it looks specially with the harness PIAA sends with it is just plug and play pretty much.

 

The hardest part of this install is getting the plugs pulled through the firewall. If you remove the glove box, there is a foam plug in there. You need to enlarge the hole, then use a hook or tie some string around the plug to pull it through.
