I bought the one on Amazon for about 110 bucks. It was truly plug and play as long as you program it by the instructions. It was pretty easy took me 30 minutes to complete.

Installed mine yesterday (30 minutes), got it on eBay from anderson electronics $89 + $5 shipping. Yes it's plug and play. They sent me a flyer with it about long range remotes for an additional $54 but I'm good using my key. (Fortin Evo CHRT5)
There is a good video on YouTube for the install.

Got the same one off Amazon. Factory key fob has short range, especially if objects are in the way. Works fine though. May get the extended range remote later.

I'm debating getting the extended range as well, I'm just curious on the distance of the extended range remote. With that being said this was still a much better option than a dealership installed remote, I was quoted between $500 and $600.

Bought and installed mine as well but I didn't pop for the programmer and figured I'd risk having to pull it out and pop for the programmer if it didn't work. Well low and behold it works. My question is should I still buy the programmer and do this anyway? Now I'm wondering what I'm missing out on.

In terms of the factory fob. Love the fact that I have a relatively light keychain but the range is pretty pitiful compared to my viper system in my old car. Wondering if anyone popped for the extender and feels it's worth it?

Overall I'm happy with what I have for the price but if I can spend a bit more and improve it all the better.
