Default Polk MM840 blown! moving on!

Well, I had a polk MM840 in the stock enclosure run by a alpine pdx5, and it lasted about 4-5 months before it blew one day last week.

So I made a custom enclosure (ok still glue drying and waiting for paint) for the stock sub location, and I ordered a RE Audio SL10. (If you're not familiar, there is a cool video on utube showing one of these playing "Baby got Back". Just search RE audio SL10.)

Never used these speakers, but their amps are world class. (If only I had room and $1300 for their 5 channel...)

I'll post some pics when I get it done. Is there a market for the stock sub enclosure only?

Well, I got the RE Audio SL10 installed (pictures to follow). What a difference. This was what I was hoping to hear when I did the whole stereo this winter. The bass is deep, tight, rich, and accurate. Perfect for my main music choice (Phish) and just about everything else I listen to. Even strong enough for the Tribe I pop in on occasion.

The front and sound bar speakers even seem fuller too.
