Default poor quality, hefty price

I have a 2012 ruby with the upgraded infinity sound system. Head unit is not too bad but the speakers sound horrible. After playing around with the fader it seems that the sound bar speakers are the main culprit. Extreme mid range, boxy sound, no clarity at all. I would hate to start dumping more money using the factory equipment and still be in the same situation. Any suggestions on what I can do to get good, clear, quality sound? Not afraid to spend more, just want it to be a better investment this go around. Otherwise, love my Jeep, definitely glad I waited on the pentastar motor.

I believe the factory amp limits the output to the soundbar speakers.
