Default Problem installing flashcal software

I can download the initial spark software and all that but when I link the actual flashcal to my computer's usb port I get a "usb serial port" failure message. It did allow me to download the TPMS upgrade and says ready to use. Anyone else have this issue and know how to remedy it? Not sure of it's safe to use or not. FYI, I am not computer savy.

Sorry I do not know computers. Uninstall the spark software and reinstall it. What do you mean by reset my pc? You mean restart after I install Spark? Thanks btw.
