Default Problem with lights and temp sensor.

Hello, I have a 2018 JK now, and I have some electrical problems. My passenger front blinker light and driver's fog light are not working. I have replaced all the bulbs and the fog light fuse, even though the original fuse looked good. What's the problem, the stalk switch?

Also, I had an engine light and a code for an ambient air temperature sensor. I replaced the sensor, but the engine light is still on and it's not displaying a temperature.

Thank you for any help.

Todd

Here's an answer I got on FB.

"an eyelet is the where the ground circuit attaches to the body usually through a stud . There should be ground eyelet containing 5 or 6 wires behind the power steering reservoir attached with a nut. Also one on the opposite side of the radiator support. This is where the directionals and marker lights ground. it’s not always easy to see, but where the eyelet crimps on the wires they get brittle and can break.."

Considering the proximity of the ambient temp sensor to the signals , i think a ground, likely shared ground wire, would be something to inspect closely.

We smelled something this morning; the problem may be a rat that subsequently died in the engine bay.

The back of the fuse/relay box has an opening just inviting enough for a rodent to make a nest there. I also found chewed wires. Damn.

ugh, those little shits are such a hassle. not a ton of room to work with down in that area either. if you've never removed the big connectors under the TIPM, don't be surprised if the plastic levers that push those harnesses out of place break. This is one of the biggest areas I have such a problem with American manufacturers. I swear that the Germans do connectors so much better!
