If you are installing them on the stock fuse set up you may be overloading the circuit. Just a guess on my part. I don't know if they are on a circuit that resets or not.

The sockets in the fog lamps are also rated for a particular amperage. You might melt em if you do get the lights to stay on.

You gotta have a capacitor and diode to fix this. I wanna say the signal is a square wave that is sent from the computer to the lights. Hid needs flat 12v signal for them to work. Look in the electrical section. There is alot of threads on this.

I would recommend running the factory wire to a relay that closes a circuit going from your battery to the HID (through the relay).

That way, the relatively low power from the factory wire only needs to close the relay and you can use a bigger wire from the battery, through the relay, to your new lights.

I haven't done this on my JK, but I have done it on other vehicles in the past.

Just my $.02 ...

Here is the thread about that. They make like a $25 dollars piece you can plugin that used diode an capacitor to take care of this problem. Right now it is like the lights are being turned on and off at an extremely fast pace. That is why it don't work.

One that is currently running to your fog lights. Sounds like this shouldn't be a problem though according to some of the other posts...

Is Michelbob's still open (I see you're in Naples, FL)? It has been years since I have had ribs that good!

Default Same problem

I realize this thread is a year old, but I am experiencing the exact same problem.

Most threads I have found reference the same one as the post above. That is for headlights. I am having a problem with the fogs.

Did you ever get this resolved? Thanks.
