Default PS LED backup light wiring?

Hey all, I got a poison spyder rock brawler rear bumper with the LEDs and I just have a question on wiring them.(note I am horrible with electrical) I know how to hook it up to the battery and a switch but is it also possible to tap them into the reverse lights so they come on with the reverse lights but also on a switch if I want? If so could someone please explain how to do this? Thanks in advance!

I am sure someone with alittle more exp will chime in but, yes you should. Just find the wires you need to tap into, put a splitter on it I believe they are a blue clip you can buy from any auto store. And you should be good. Shouldn't be to hard.

I believe it would be as such: wire them to a switch like you said you know how to do, with a relay. Run a jumper wire from the oem reverse that also will trigger the relay. In this jumper wire you will need to interrupt it with a diode so the electricity goes only one way and doesn't feed back into the jeep when you power the switch on. There, not exactly a 'how to' buy hopefully gives you an idea.

No need for a diode if using a relay.
