Lights are now installed. Everything worked well in the end. STill need to align them. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open.

Also, for anyone that is interested, the flange nut on the battery terminal is an M6 x 1. So it's metric.

So how did you end up routing the wires from the lights through the cowl? I've been considering a set of these lights and have been wondering how to route the wires.

The harness on the lights seemed to me to be a little short so I modified the brackets to enlarge the hole to the inside of the jeep. This moved the lights slightly to the inside. The harness comes out of the light offset to one side at the rear of the light. Without this modification the support around the connector would have been in the gap in the cowl and I was afraid it would have put too much pressure on the harness. May not have had to modify the passenger side, but I did. I think a different mount that has the light a little closer to the center of the jeep would prevent this. The Smittybilt mounts came with the kit I bought. I do like how it has the lights mounted a little lower and to the outside.

Any chance for some pics-what you had to modify on the mount. I want a set of these but am concerned I won't be able to figure out the wiring (newb)

I will try to get some pics tonight after work. Are you looking for how the wiring is routed or the mounting plate mod?

Remove this side panel of the dash (just pops out) to access the foam-filled hole through the firewall. You can choose where to mount the switch, but there is lots of room on the panel where my switch is.

With the mounts I ordered, there is enough length so the wires are tucked inside the cowl, protecting the connectors from the weather.

What mounts are you using?

These mounts are the ones that came in the package deal from Off-Road Warehouse. If you search the 'Dually for $189' thread the answer should be in there. Sorry I can't be of more assistance, searching on my phone sucks.

I have heard really good things about the Black Diamond mounts.
