Yes you can. You need a low pass filter. I have one i can send you just pay shipping. use butt clamps and then rca to the amp then the subs.

now i dont want crazy bass, i just want a little bass with my factory system. i was thinking about a self-powered sub, like a bazooka tube or the mtx thunderlink. im confused on those can u just wire them up to ur stock headunit? and if u can, how?
You're basically looking for a hi-lo adapter...something to take your speaker level input and convert it to RCA, which you can then take to an amp/sub or bazooka tube via RCA.
As far as filtering, you can usually do that at the amp...if not, a low pass filter can be put in-line without issue.
They are easily obtained locally at any car stereo shop...and are commonly used for this type of installation.

Thats what i was trying to explain. I am willing to give you the part. If you don't want it then it's going in the trash, I don't need it any more. If anybody wants it just pay the couple dollars for shipping.
Not to pry, but if you are thinking about adding a sub to your stock system, you should really just start princing a new system. With the Hi-lo converter it is very tough to have any control over the sub. My experience has always been overwhelming thumping noises and not music. JMO
