question on sub install
Not to pry, but if you are thinking about adding a sub to your stock system, you should really just start princing a new system. With the Hi-lo converter it is very tough to have any control over the sub. My experience has always been overwhelming thumping noises and not music. JMO
I agree. If all you're doing is filtering the low freq's out of the back soundbar speakers & sending them to a sub, it won't sound good. Your stock deck doesn't have near enough power to drive a sub.
You'd be better off getting an aftermarket HU with 3 pre-outs, an amp & a sub. That way, you have total control over the sub from the deck. It's more money, yes, but I don't think you're gonna like the sound coming from what you plan on doing.
