Im gonna install a Passport 9500IX in my 2011 JK where should I put it its almost impossible to get it vertical position with the windshield we got...

 

Nice hardware! Unfortunately you prob won't need it in the JK I was able to bend the bracket to make it work front and center though.

hi, i have the escort/pasport solo - i was too able to bend the bracket - mounts perfectly on the dash . I will post a pic today . nice is that it takes 2 AA batteries , no wires / i change them about every 2 to 4 months

 

arent radar detectors illegal?

 

depends on where you live. They are legal everywhere here in the USA except for in Virginia and Washington DC

 

Just order the Visor Clip and the Direct Wire Smart Cord from escort then use the visor clip on the plastic window suround, clip it above the review mirror just below the freedom top release handle, attach your radar, then run your Direct Wire Smart Cord in side and across to passenger side, down the piller in behind the glove box and tap into your switch power outlet and wire it up ..Works like a damn ... mine has been installed there for the last year no problems
