Default Radio 430 NAV - USB problem

Greets

First time posting.

I have a 2017 wrangler sahara unlimited, that until just recently has had no problem recognizing usb sticks (various) inserted into the dash to load music.
I now get a message saying device is not available. Ive tried different usbs. I have tried using the one inside the center console.

I have a phone (android) that is my full time vech line that lives there, and works fine (hands free, so bluetooth ok, i use the center console port just to keep it charged (plugged in all the time)
I had some work done (added a wench) and my power seems to have been disconnected as i had to go in and re-setup the pic on the display head i use, so im thinking the usb "lost connection" but i can't get anything back
Its the stock radio.

anyone seen anything like this? ideas?
