Default radio install question...

after reading the electronics FAQ, i know that i need a Metra XSVI-6522.

is that the same thing as what crutchfield is trying to sell me?

PAC C2R-CHY2
Dodge/Jeep Radio Replace Adapter
allows you to install a new receiver while retaining accessory power in select 2007-up Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles

Your vehicle has no accessory power lead at the receiver. The integration adapter provides the accessory power you will need for your new receiver

It does the same thing, yes, but it isn't made by the same company. I've posted before asking if anyone has used the PAC C2R-CHY2, but I never got a reply. I don't think anyone has used it yet. Be the first!

Last I checked Crutchfield had it listed but didn't have it in stock. I think the PAC one actually looks better than the Metra harness. I'm hoping Scosche has one soon too.

I really have no idea because I haven't played with either yet, but they do the same thing. Most people have been using the Metra without issue, so just stick with it. I see no need to use the PAC unless you get a good deal on it or were having problems with the Metra.

I've only heard of a few people not liking the Metra.

So yeah, I think they'd perform the same.

I've had no problems with my metra so far. However, at first, there were some guys having issues with them. They've probably been resolved by now i'm sure.
