While driving the jeep will chime randomly (the chime you get when your gas light comes on) but no indicator lights will come on so I have no idea what's triggering it. Any ideas ? 2012 jku

Did you go thru your EVIC. where you go thru compass and temp etc...there is where your gas level will show even if that yellow light above fuel gauge isn't lit.

 

Mine has been doing that for years. No light comes on.

Every once in a while, I will hear it, and look at the instrument cluster just in time to see a light going out. It's so quick I can't get a good view of which light it is.

edit to add: No codes are set when this happens.

 

Check your battery connections. Mine did it too then I realized the ground wire was loose because its not meant to have accessories mounted onto the tightening nut. Give that a start.

 

Do you have an AeroForce Interceptor?

 

I get the same thing.. usually within the first 5 minutes of driving... no lights or errors....

 

Possibly the low oil pressure warning. Mine in my 07 used to blink on for half a second and give the chime if the oil was low.

 

Low, or almost gone?

 

I have had people with auto tranny's chime off road due to trans oil temp being too high. My '08 manual JK does it about 2x a year with no indicators, lights nothing. Very useful!
