Default Random connector

Got my Jeep back from a shop, after having valve cover gaskets replaced, and noticed this loose plug..
Any idea where it goes? It appears to be brown with a white tracer. It’s on a 2015 Sahara JKU

I could be wrong, but it seems I recall a single brown wire connecting to something on the rear of the engine, but i can't recall for the life of me what, and it's not easy to access or see with fender liner in place. i am 99% sure that is NOT where that clips to on the heater hose and they just stuck it there. if it were me, i'd take that back to the shop and make them figure it out. that round plastic clip should to go a rubber hose, not the lines to/from the heater core.

Ok, thanks for the advice . I’m gonna pull out the fender liner and check that out. I talked to the guy that done the work, when I picked it up, and he said it wasn’t plugged into anything. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t clipped on there either; I’m guessing he saw it, and just stuck it there to keep it from hanging down behind the head.

don't curse me out if i'm wrong . i know i've seen that single wire before. i've had intake and VCs off mine several times in the past, as i have had the entire battery tray out. that looks very familiar, but i can't spot it looking all over my engine bay. as you know, visability is so tough towards the back, even from the underside.

It might be Knock Sensor 2. It is a brown-white pair.

Don't know if this diagram helps, but it is item 3 toward the rear.

Just so happens I have my fender liners out - in the process of putting my valve covers back on. It looks like that attaches to a sensor on the back of the passenger side head. The wire appears to come from the same area of the harness (near the cam sensor plug).
