the reason is that the projector creates color in a vehicle with factory HID. the aftermarket tries to create color with the bulb which is why you get more of a blue color or purple or pure white. you can learn alot from this site if you want to retro some projector in your headlights. hidplanet.com

this is cut off beam from old projectors i had in my truck. 4300k
