Question comics

Nice comics you almost got me convinced
I don't feel like drilling though! (it's a lease... can I drill ?)
And since the center of the spare tire came with a nice Jeep cover I am still looking for an alternative to mount my cam on... kind of like a tripod or something to be put on the base of the piece that holds the spare tire.

Another question:

From the rear of the mygig, where did you guys make the wire go for the cam?
Should I put it on the right (facing it) of the mygig, down to the bottom, then make it come out under the mat of the passenger side, then all the way down the mats till it reaches the trunk?

Love the drawings. There was reason for my madnes and drilling the top. For 1, Im not happy with having to redo a mod, especially if I were to change out the bumper (Very Possible). And usually that means changing out the tire carrier....and of course re-doing the backup camera install. NOT!

And the honest to goodness reason..I like it better up there. If I decide to click to rear view mode at any time, I can actually see something besides bumpers, taillights and kneecaps. Besides, If they get that close to my Jeep, they are prolly somewhere they arnt supposed to be or doing something they shouldnt anyway. Besides the fact that Im not parking that close to anything..ever.

PLUS, bet yours is stolen, damaged or ruined well before mine is lol.

I used the camera from LockPick. It mounted pefectly to the AEV third brake llight. No drillling, and you can bend the mount to adjust the view:

PS, I luv the illustrations!

LOL! love the drawings. i think the difference of opinions are the guys putting them lower, like i will be doing, have kids. other guys mounting them higher, sounds like they aren't looking for kids, but cars, trailer hauling, etc. either way is fine as long as no kids or pets get run over! garbage cans and bumpers can be replaced. can't we all jus get along

Here's How I did mine. Sort of like Ground Rats but a little more narrow.

It could happen in the mall parking lot too... might roll over a stroller! I actually enjoy other's takes on installing mods too. I love the drawings too!

Hey how is that camera at night? I had read that some people didn't want to get that cam from the lockpick folks cause it was not really good at night cause of no LEDs. So how do you like it?

Where did you guys put the wiring for the cam?
Starting from the mygig down on the right? Passenger side?
