what are you using it for and why do you want to flip it?

I thought it was supposed to emulate the rear view mirror.

Some LCDs have an option to flip the input vertically or horizontally. Some cameras also have this, but if yours dont, you're SOL.

Aim it forwards and use a mirror??

Normal cameras don’t work as backup cameras, a reverse image camera is required very few cameras have a way to switch,
