Rear View Mirror Camera Recorder Pro
I really like the idea of being able to record video with an onboard camera. I have been thinking about this product called "Rear View Mirror Car Camera Recorder Pro". I can't tell you how many times I have been in stop and go traffic when a car cuts into my lane and I must slam on the breaks to avoid a collision.
With this product, it seems at least I would be able to show the police that I had plenty of space to stop up until that speed racer cut into my lane and slammed on the breaks.
The other thought is it would be cool to have recordings when running off-road trails.
Has anyone tried this product: http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/car-camera-recorder.html
I am not sure if I am allowed to post this link, so Mods please delete if I am out of bounds.
Thanks,
Walker

I have not purchased one yet, I am just looking at it real hard.
I have read somewhere that you can set it so it stores video files in 30 sec to 3 min. video files. If your removable SD Memory Card becomes full, it automaticly begins to overwrite the oldest file (nice). I am not sure how high the resolution is compared to your video camera, so maybe it gives more time on a chip at the cost of lower resolution?
I could see having a couple chips handy in the jeep, and if something really interesting is recorded, just swap out the chips before it begins overwriting the older files.
I just can't justify $400 for a gizmo right now, I need to save for a lift.
