Default Rear Window Defroster Wire

One of my defroster wires came off the window at the soldering point. Dealer says they don't know how to fix that. How do I fix it? Is it as simple as re soldering it?

Take a look at ronjenx suggestion in this link and see if it's applicable to your situation -

Mine did the same thing about two years ago. I simply re-soldered the wire back on and it's been working since with no issues. No repair kit needed and it's been over two years trouble free.

Could you give more details on how you soldered it back on?

If your jeep is still under warranty, the dealership has to replace the whole back glass. This happen to me twice before they decided to zip tie the wire to keep it from stretching to much around the wiper motor. For some reason both sides have the same length of wiring harness but the left side has to go around the wiper motor.

Permatex makes a adhesive kit for this. its a 2 part adhesive thats eletricaly conductive so it literally just glues it back on like you would a rear view mirror tab.
