Pulsating DC is direct current that turns on and off, but always has the same direction or polarity.
You're splitting hairs, call it what you want real world it's AC noise riding on DC. A 10uf cap fixes it. PCM is happy and relays in the headlight circuit won't chatter Trying to help the layman here not the scientist

But inquireing minds want to know. Oh and I alread checked the "NI". They said to go ask a scientist. . Or maybe it was an electrical engineer.
