All the thing does is change the signal so that the throttle opens faster with less peddle travel. It is pretty expensive for what it is (probably R&D costs). It has no effect on horsepower or gas milage, unless you mash the peddle more than you used to.
I picked one up a while back, and have to say I do like. I never liked the fly by wire lag, although some people never notice that lag I guess. I come from old carb vehicles, where I could customize throttle response.
It might help wake up the 3.8 some, especially coupled with a Superchips. Although it is pricey.
I run it in the Red agressive mode unless I am in 4-lo. Power from the peddle is like, Right Now, there is no lag for me.

I agree that it is pricey for what you get, but I love mine. I run mine on the green setting.
If i bought another Jeep, this would be one of the very first mods i would do to it.

Absolutely love mine. It's a night and day difference. The only mpg drop I noticed is 100% due to my heavy foot. It is pricey, but worth the $$$. Try to find one used. I picked mine up for $200 in the For Sale section.

Have it on my rig. Really useful on maximum (red) setting off road. On road, I always have it on green setting and love the response. I'm using with a hemi swap though, never tried it with the 3.8, but in would assume similar: throttle lag is gone.
