Remote Searchlight
I want to replace my windshield mounted spotlights
with remote controlled searchlights like these
but I'm having trouble trying to find candlepower of my hella spotlights before ordering searchlights. I want to make sure I get the same or greater light output than I get now.
Anyone know or know how to calculate?
And what do you think about idea or does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have the one in the last picture on my work vehicle. It works great and it pretty bright.. My old complaint is with moving it.. The rabbit (fast symbol) on the remote is too fast... and the turtle is very very slow... Other than that they work great.... Like in the picture there are also 2 remotes. The oval one can be mounted to a flat surface and the grey and black one is a handheld.. Sorry I can't help with candle power...etc
Also, you can spin the light around totally backwards for protecting the bulb when not in use...

Thanks, I really like that idea! I can also cut cost with a wired remote system but having option of wireless when away from vehicle would be nice to have. I guess that's where the mag light comes in. Do you have any offload lights on your jk and how you think intensity compares to work truck spotlight?
I have lights on a few vehicles.... But a comparision would be tough.. It is very bright. The remote works well for screwing with people or lighting up any hot chick that might wander by and warrants a better look...
