I have the Mopar remote start built into my jeep and I'm curious how long it stays running before it turns the Jeep off. This summer, I would leave my dog in the Jeep (top on) and then I'd lock the doors and then remote start it so the A/C is running to keep her nice and cool while I run into the grocery store for a couple of minutes. However, it seems that it might turn off after a certain period of time because I did this with my dog last weekend, ran into the mall, came back out after about 20-25 minutes and the Jeep had turned off. Thankfully it wasn't hot out. I've Googled this but can't seem to find any info on how long the engine will continue to run after remote start (or just start it in general).

 

Stays on for 15 min.

Unless your low fuel light is on, then its less than 15 seconds.......

 

if low fuel light is on it will not start. The range of this OEM remote start baffles me. Its got INSANE range. But cannot unlock the doors from no more than 50 ft away LOL
