Default Remote start issues

To everyone that has remote start and keyless entry from the dealer I'm wondering if you have issues with your jeep occasionally not recognizing your remote? Mine keeps failing to work so I have to key in and set off the alarm. I changed the battery in the remotes so they are fresh. This is really getting old. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Larry

Hmmm I have never had this happen. I hope the dealer gets it fixed. Sounds like the WCM/Skreem needs attention/replacement.

I don't have remote start but mine was acting up today and the alarm went off. I couldn't turn it off with the key fobs. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership because it wouldn't start. The computer locked the electronics and the dealer replaced the module that reads the key fob signal. They told me it was faulty. I hope this helps.

That would be the wireless control module WCM. Glad you got it fixed.

for some reason last week 1 of my keys dropped off the program.. I had to reprogram all 4 keys and then everything worked again..

the wierd thing was.. the key in question the FOB would lock / unlock, Panic.. and the key started and drove the Jeep but the remote start button would just not work... the other remote start key worked fine.. changed the battery.. still no go..

then thought perhaps after battery change in Fob i needed to reprogram.. so I went through and reprogrammed and now all the keys work fine...

wierd..
