Default Removal of front side markers

Does anyone know how to remove the front side markers from the front fenders?
I just got my – Recon’s smoked lenses w/LED and I can’t figure out how to get the old ones out.
I really don’t want to have to pull the fenders off to get them out.

Thanks for anyone that can help me.

I installed xenon flares this weekend and while doing the install I tried to find a way to access the side marker and the only way that you can is if you remove the linner and support (not the flare itself) the light is held by the support unit. If you need photos let me know.

It is impossible to get the whole unit out without seperating the skeleton structure from the fender itself. If you cut off the two little plastic rivets on the lip of the fender you may be able to get them out.
Here is a pic of them out of mine when I did the fender trimming... not sure if the pics will help in any way

You don't have to cut the plastic rivets - you just need to stick something sharp in the centre and push, they will pop open. They you pry apart the fender from the skeleton. Two pairs of hands are a major plus.

I would use the driections for the Rugged ridge marker grills.

You could use my method -- Drive down your favorite trail. Lots of stuff seems to pop loose for me that way...

I used a nail set to pop the plastic "rivets" out, works fine. But it's still a pain getting into the space without pulling apart the whole front end. Or at least what seems like it.

Default Smoked RECON Turn signals + IPCW brake light

I used an electric screwdriver with a drill bit to bore out the center of the rivets, I didn't feel comfortable putting
much pressure on it. I got extra plastic rivets from my dealership for a couple bucks... The 1/4" riveter was more
difficult to find, I got one on Ebay for 30$.

I needed the riveter to install the hood lock anyways...

I installed the RECON smoked turn signals and fender signals

A little hard to see when they are off but then again that's the point!

The turn signal kit (not fender lights) comes with some resistors to prevent the quick blinking that happens when
the car thinks the bulb is burnt. I personally don't mind the quicker blinking so I didn't put in the resistors. I checked
with my dealer and it can't harm the vehicle, it can only annoy you.

I also got a black LED 3rd light replacement from http://www.inprocarwear.com/ (bought it on Ebay for 100$)

Also it wasn't obvious to me at first when I installed the RECON lights but you disconnect the bulb socket from the original
casing (orange light) then remove the bulb and the RECON LED light connects into that socket. This is pretty obvious with
the fender lights but I thought I was missing a connector for a little while on the turn signals...
