Default Replace Factory Fog Lights

Don't know if this question has been answered or not. But I'd like to upgrade my factory fogs (not just a bulb) .. but with something that will fit in the same mounting holes in factory bumper. We all know how horrible the lights are on a jk so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great!!.. I just ordered IPF headlights so I'd want something equally as good or better that is more or less plug and play.

In the future, ya I would be looking at installing a light bar somewhere to add more lights, but right now I just want to upgrade the factory fogs.

I got a kit for the replacement stock lights for about $110.00. I only used the lights, bulbs (9145), and a good length of the wiring harness.
I cut, soldered, and heat shrank the insulation after replacing the wimpy stock 24 watt lights.
Works just fine and I didn't have use all those other parts.

So to expand the question a bit, I am not mechanically inclined and don't want to void my warranty, so the dealership does my upgrades. The IPF headlight kit seems like something they will do, plug and play, but splicing in different fogs seems unlikely. Any fog kits out there that are more "plug and play" or dealer friendly?

ummm .. were you making a jab at me?..lol
I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, dealership doesn't do my upgrades, IPF are pretty much factory replacement headlights(they fit in the same hole with just a pigtail connector to convert to H4 bulb).. and ya fog lights I kinda want the same idea because I don't like the hassle of screwing with wiring.

replacing your fog lights will not void your warranty unless you burn down your rig or melt your wires...

Having the dealership do it is just throwing away your money. As for fog lights, leave the factory ones, buy some aftermarket ones and mount them to your bumper.
my motto with fogs is, the more the merrier.

Honestly your best bet is to contact ORW or one of our vendors on the site and they will give you the best answer. I think the fog bulb is a weird one so a straight swap ain't soo easy.

I got the IPF headlights. better beam pattern but not brighter. i bought the cheaper version from quadratec (without the bulbs) then bought the Silverstar Ultras and it was still cheaper than the kit w/bulbs included.

When i get home, i am probably going to swap my headlights out to the Trucklite LEDs...

Ya I was just about to get the Trucklite Leds but then SO MANY people have been telling me that the light is brighter ya but the light pattern is horrible !! and 600$ is just too much to pay for what you are getting.. I'm willing to throw away 1 or 2 hundred on the ipfs knowing that so many people actually have had good results with them by just simply upgrading the bulbs that they give you in the kit. Don't know if Im willing to start cutting or drilling holes just yet either .. jeep on has 1500km on it ..lol... I'll see what the vendors on here think. Like i said, I will for sure down the line get extra lighting (ie light bar) but for right now I just want to improve the excising fog lights with little or no hassle.

No jab meant Mike. I was speaking as myself, I want to do the same as you, and I am not mechanically inclined. I think we both want the same thing, though it sounds like a plug and play option does not exist. Since I am getting ready to mount driving lights on my bumper anyway, I think I am just going to leave the factory fogs well enough alone right now.
