I think I have found out that the update CURES the iPod freeze issue. I thought that maybe the Lockpick was the issue. I eliminated that and still had freezing at random times.

Soooo back together everything went and I gave the update a whirl. Well it has been over a month and ZERO freeze issues!

I see many have issues burning a disc so all you need is a DVD and an image that looks EXACTLY like the file structure below. All bazillion other files needed are inside the Data and OS folders. The update is a lonely file.


Burn it, close it and run outside. Screen Successions are as follows.


Ignore the 2.5->2.5 it is for illustrative purposes.








It takes about 15 minutes and just let it ride!!! It will reboot a few times. Do whatever you can to NOT disturb it (Heck I had dome light off, Heater off, lights... everything I could think of off.

I wonder why they won't release a list of what is fixed in these updates.


I've got no intention of updating my system unless some new features get added, since I'm not experiencing any problems and a messed up update could waste my radio.

 

Yeah I dunno why they don't. Funny thing is is that there is a reason they are UPDATES and released or they just wouldn't exist. I dunno if what I found with the iPod is a fluke, but again to this day it has not lost communication.
