Default RES 130 Uconnect update to fix Bluetooh Audio Streaming and USB for iPod and iPhone

Update came out on June 29th for the RES 130 Radios with Uconnect

I called my dealership to see if TSB 08 036 11 ht tp://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0803611.pdf applied to my vehicle, he said it didn't come up.

Called Chrysler Uconnect and they said it did apply to my vehicle

Said screw it found this post

Firmware can be found here, h ttp://www.mediafire.com/?ze325ccy1o8gbz4,
simply copy it to a FAT32 Formated USB key,
turn your ignition to run/ACC,
plug the key into your USB port and press and hold the Uconnect button until it says updating uconnect,
wait 20 minutes while listing to beeping. When the beeping stops the deck will restart and playing what ever was playing last. **** DO NOT TURN OFF RADIO OR JEEP, while updating******
Everything should now work perfectly as it was intended and advertised

I just finished performing the update on my 2011 JKU Rubicon.

Bluetooth and USB (still alittle slow on first connect) work perfectly.

Thanks for nothing Jeep Dealership So Glad this function is now working perfectly its bugged me since I bought the Jeep 2 months ago.

Verified this works on a 2011 Infinity system RES radio and iPhone 4.2.1 OS.

I get static or a cracking/popping sound when I use my iPod. The dealer has said there were no updates available. I don't know where the issue is (USB slot, radio, etc). I've tried two different USB cables and iPods. Anyone else have this issue?

After installing this update, and my radio going through all the steps above it said this updates was not for the RES 130 and now my Uconnect does not work at all, my voice commands no longer work and my USB slot does not work.

I just went out to goto the store and everything was back to normal, the Uconnect works 4.0 again. I would be very cautious with this since my radio stated it was not compatible with it and I have the RES 130.

I took a chance when I did mine cause the dealership kept saying it wasn't for my vehicle but Chrysler said it was. According to the PDF I linked to there are different revisions of the ucconect module maybe yours is one that isnt compatible with he update, the update should check when it installs and fail and not do anything, power cycling the radio at this point will return it to the previous firmware.

Keep in mind those of you running this update, if it screws up your radio you may have fun with your dealership fixing it on warranty.

I was just so frustrated that I didnt care, I had my old Alpine deck sitting in the garage waiting to go in if this update screwed up my radio or didnt work.

I have now sold my Alpine deck since the uconnect works near perfect now, still alittle slow via USB but it works great.

I did this last night and it fixed the Iphone chipmunk issue. Everything seems to work as it did before. I had to restart the radio and my Iphone after the install to make it all reconnect.

Thanks to the OP for posting this.
