Default RES stereo display not working

Over the past couple weeks the display on my RES stereo has not worked. Nothing at all will display on the screen, but all the buttons work. I can turn on the radio, change volume, stations, etc, just no display. I have checked the dimmer and everything is working except the stereo's display. To add to the awesomeness of this issue is that it doesn't happen all the time. Turning the Jeep on and off, doesn't seem to fix the issue. But if it sets for awhile, it will come back up.

Did a little research and this seems to be non-common issue and most believe that it is a loose connection to the display inside the unit. Anyone else have the issue? I mean I guess this just means it is time for a new head unit.

I have one out of my '14 you can have if you just pay shipping. My zip is 34243 if you want to check shipping costs.

Thanks for the offer, but if I need to get a new head unit, I will get an aftermarket unit.

Don't blame you. Mine wasn't broken and I pulled it.
